1904 (Slawuta, present day Ukraine) – 1984 (Tel Aviv, Israel) Dr. Moshé Feldenkrais, a trained physicist and engineer and first ever blackbelt judo master in the western world, developped his method over many years. It is based on his experiences in self defense and the overcoming of serious knee injuries and in particular on his idea of our brain having neuroplastic abilities.
He realized early on, that our brain is able to learn if it is stimulated by actions, which has been proven by technologies available today . The lessons according to his method are aimed at this ability of the brain.
Human dignity
«What I am after isnt flexible bodies , but flexible brains. What I am after is to restore each person to their human dignity.»
